While most people abandon outdoor activities for the winter we were determined to keep skating. I used to wear a helmet, ski mask, hood and jacket, The trouble of keeping all this in place during a session or commute inspired me to bring it all together in one design.  The first significant improvement I recognized with the new design was that I no longer needed to wear a jacket on my commute.  The double cuff design allows the inner cuff to slide into your gloves and keeps cold from entering up your sleeve.  The mask keeps the cold air from entering at your neck line so you loose a lot less body heat so you stay warm without an additional layer (like a valuable jacket not desinged for an occasional fall on pavement, ie. snowboard jacket).  Elbow and shoulder patches make the hoodie extra durable, even against the pavement.

The drawstring in the mask has an elastic piece in the middle that keeps its centered and comfortable across the bridge of your nose.

Once you warm up you can release the draw string on the face mask and put the hood down so it lays lose around your neck allowing the heat to escape.  Another nice temperature control feature is the mesh gusset at the underarm, when you raise your arms you allow a contolled amount of cold air in, this really works well while moving.

Wether skating, biking or chilling out after a session the PC hoodie can become a staple for keeping you active all winter long.

PC hoodies are now produced in East LA's garment district.

The best hoodie my son owns now, looks nice and is very warm.

  2. Perfect for women too!

I had some concerns with the sizing, but mail came in today and it fits like a glove.

Couldn't be happier. Now time to take this baby out for a test drive in the bitter cold.

  3. best hoodie i own!

Came as expected, fits wonderful, amazingly warm and useful!

  4. Best hoodie I own.

This hoodie is rather thick, and subsequently very warm. I love it. The shoulder and elbow padding is a nice touch for those of us who are rather.... prone to falling. The face mask is nice, except for the fact that I can't figure out how to wear the hood without the mask.
The body of the hoodie is also rather long, which can be a bonus.
All of the stitching seems very robust, and I do not see them coming out any time soon.
Overall, it is totally worth the price, and I'm glad I bought one for the coming cold season.

  5. O.K., I'm convinced.

I had a hard time trying to justify paying 100 bucks for a hoodie, but I really needed something that was functional and would eliminate layering and bulking during shred sessions in colder months. So I took a chance and ordered this bad-boy and now I'm glad I did.

First off, let me address the only con I had...Size. Not PC's fault. I didn't take into account the fact that I weight train (big arms and chest), so (Large) was just a tad snug in those areas for my taste, but still, it wasn't restrictive.
Warmth: I wore this in upper 40's, mid 50's with only a long sleeve compression shirt underneath and was just fine. The ventilated underarms let just enough cool air in, without bringing in a chill. The ribbed waistband and cuffs are heavy duty and tight and keeps cold air out. I love the double cuffed wrist/thumb hole thingy as well.
Construction: I was afraid of receiving a "Champion" sweatshirt with some extras sewn on, but I can see a lot of thought, craftsmanship and quality material went into this hoodie. This is pretty evident in the stitching and the shoulder and elbow reinforcements. I would have liked to have seen that heavy duty canvas used for the pants on the shoulders and elbows.
Face mask and hood: The face mask actually serves double duty. When not used on the face, it protects your neck (no pun intended) like a scarf. I was skeptical about the claim that the hood was large enough to fit over a helmet, but I was again proven wrong. The face mask drawstring...another great feature.
The bottom line: This hoodie is functional, warm, durable and pretty swagalicious. It's pretty much one of a kind. The price tag might be a little steep for some, but it pretty much pays for itself when you think of how many jackets, hoodies, etc. you shred taking some gnarly falls. It's a keeper.

  6. Great product!

Solid, warm, comfortable and sober... Ideal for the rude weather here in Switzerland. Only 1 regret: I should have ordered the 2 models directly!
